Our idea is to collect blankets and any donated clothing items and make sack lunches just simple pbjs, chips, bottle of water, and a banana or something. We could then go out around the community or downtown and hand these gifts to homeless people in person on a weekend or at night. However, it would be very useful to add a feature to search all of the posts. This would prevent people from accidentally taking another group's idea. One could just search a keyword to find out if someone else already took a similar idea. Currently, the search box only searches the page you're on, which is just group names. That dance was NOT a circus, and a lot of people envisioned great decoration possibilities. -The music Boom played was pretty good most of the time. -The way Boom ended (suddenly and 4 minutes before 10:00) was stupid. -$1 for a half-pint bottle of water? Outrageous. Also, they really should have had a recycle can in that room. -I thought it was okay that they left a couple lights on at the front of the field house, but some people were annoyed. As for the future: -I know some sophomores and juniors who would have much preferred a masquerade theme. -Has anyone considered selling glow sticks (the necklace kind)? And I think people would like if they could buy rubber bracelets or t-shirts or something tangible to remember the dance. Then we would still make great profits without way overcharging for water. -There wasn't really a nice theme backdrop to take your own photos. That's all I can think of right now.
